Eric and Lukas found love later in life — and it was love at first sight. When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew they wanted something truly special set in New York City, a place Eric knew well. He had visited the Big Apple close to a hundred times, making it his favorite getaway, while Lukas had yet to experience its magic.
They envisioned the perfect ceremony spot: Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, at the heart of Manhattan’s most iconic green space. The fountain represents temperance, purity, health, and peace, and also carries LGBTQ+ significance, as the angel at its center was modeled after sculptor Emma Stebbins’ partner.
With the location set, all that remained was finding the perfect place to rest and relax during their wedding week. That’s when they discovered Staypineapple New York.

From the moment they arrived, the hotel’s bright colors and refreshing interiors set the tone for a delightful stay — instantly different from traditional hotel experiences. They also enjoyed the signature Naked Experience, which they chuckled about for its playful name.
Beyond the hotel itself, they appreciated the unbeatable location, which was close to everything they wanted to experience during their stay, including a show at Madison Square Garden.
