STAYPINEAPPLE LEADERSHIP

All hotels endeavor to deliver great hospitality but we know that is really hard to do. Our voices will be the talk that backs up our walk. The purpose of having a shocking and clever attitude is to stand out amongst our competitors, but not scare people away. With witty banter and open arms, Staypineapple will create “Remember that one time when…” moments.

My thing

After spending 20 ish years in both the business of Hospitality and the acquisition and development of Real Estate, combining them seemed like a great next step. Pineapple hospitality, its assets, its mission, but mostly its people are my pride and joy manifested. I am privileged to work with what I believe is a best in class group of hospitality professionals who know their stuff, but most importantly bring their hearts and integrity to the work of enhancing the pineapple vision every day. We are unified around the single idea that hotels aren't places ...they are experiences. From this "core" belief grows Pineapple each day.Without the love and support of my husband Steve and son Max none of the above would be possible. Oh and let's not forget the laughter and love that comes from our two furry family members Dash and Kiska the Pineapple huskies.

My thing

Over the past thirty years I have been able to play Monopoly for a living; buying, selling and managing real estate of all colors. This has turned into a love of hotels and the challenges of finding, purchasing, financing and helping with operations. I have been blessed with a wife who is extremely loving and supportive of my crazy obsession with all things real estate related. Our four children have spread far and wide seeking the benefits of education and discovering the advantages of living somewhere it does not rain 6o inches a year. My best day away from work is a day spent riding my Harley on back roads discovering the next roadhouse to grab lunch, what makes it even better is my wife loves riding with me.

My thing

Having founded, run and sold small businesses, I bring a blend of business acumen with strong information systems knowledge. I innovate in-room technology and oversee all IT infrastructure for the Staypineapple brand of hotels and restaurants. Originally an entrepreneur, I started my IT career founding a web application development and data center services company. After building the business up to seven employees, I eventually sold it. After a short stint doing consulting, I was recruited to start a new IT services department for an existing business. During this two year period, I built up a large client list and helped optimize the companies’ point of sale and virtual server architecture. Having been the IT consultant for what would become Pineapple Hospitality, I was recruited to join this growing company directly in my current capacity. I will continue to lead and push for technology innovation throughout all touch points. My downtime is spent with my family, coaching my kids, enjoying our PNW skiing and outdoor activites.

My thing

A small town guy with a love of travel, I've been fortunate to travel the world over pursuing my dreams. Originally from the Columbia Basin in Washington State, my early career sent me to San Francisco, then on to Connecticut, New York, and “back” to Bellevue in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I've worked for limited, full, and luxury service hotels at airports, in suburbs, in urban cores, in corporate, leisure, and even casino markets. From Seattle to Miami, Boston to San Diego, and everywhere in between, I couldn't have asked for a more engaging line of work. In my spare time you’ll find my wife and I chasing our two children, working in the yard, visiting nearby wineries, or perhaps enjoying a bit of outdoor relaxation via snowboard, bicycle, golf cart, or BBQ. GO COUGS!

My thing

I have been making waves for more than 20 years in the hospitality industry, bucking the traditional; focused on creating unique, extraordinary, and sustainable hotels. I began my career in design, transitioned into development and construction, evolved into engineering and operations, and eventually pulled it all together into a multidisciplinary hospitality leader. I am responsible for the people and the buildings at Pineapple Hospitality, making sure the stage is set for Pineapple’s amazing team to inspire out of the ordinary experiences.... really an Oscar-winning performance. I met my husband at work over 20 years ago and our favorite past time is architecture of all types, fat, skinny, tall short, old and new; we love them all. We have two beautiful rescue cats and a dog, Molly, Mookie, and Bella. We live on a "hobby farm" with plans to expand the four legged family, maybe a horse or a donkey in our future.

My thing

A hotelier at heart since I was a young child, my passion is supporting the people who make it happen every day for our guests. During more than 20 years in the hospitality industry, my career has taken me across the United States with brands like Fairmont and Four Seasons. With a background in recruiting, learning and development and project management, I am excited to collaborate to build Staypineapple’s people leadership strategy. I am crazy about my community and believe we have a social responsibility to make an impact. My proudest accomplishment is partnering with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Fund to create the Run of Hope, the most successful grassroots fundraising event for Seattle Children’s Hospital. Like many in our business, when I get away…I like to get away! I love to travel to unique destinations, experience great restaurants and sample amazing wine. If you time it right, you might find me enjoying a craft beer at Reuben’s Brews in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle with my partner, Starrla, and our rescue pup, Sadie.

My thing

I bring over 30 years of experience in hospitality food and beverage and operations. My career in the Seattle culinary scene has allowed me the opportunity to work with James Beard award-winning chefs, fulfill strategic leadership roles for restaurant corporations like Ruth Chris, Restaurants Unlimited, and Savor, and oversee McCaw Hall, a 3,000 seat performing arts hall. I moved into operations while working for Benchmark Hospitality as a General Manager for the historic Sorrento Hotel.

I joined Pineapple Hospitality in the Fall of 2016, where I started in a food & beverage leadership role and then transitioned into Operations. I support the hotel teams in every way, being the liaison with Pineapple headquarters, providing answers on any topics as well as filling in at the hotels during key moments. I do my best to exemplify the spirit of Redefining Hospitality and assist in upholding expectations for our hotels by mentoring, training, and guiding the hotel teams in delivering upon those expectations. When I am not working in the world of Pineapple, I enjoy exploring new restaurants, playing tennis, and doing just about anything with my son.

My thing

I am passionate about building teams and being a part of teams that come together to produce outstanding results. The selfless nature of wanting others to enjoy their time while staying at our wonderful Staypineapple hotels makes every day a fulfilling journey. Each and every day provides the opportunity to put a smile on someone’s face whether it be a guest who has traveled from afar or a team member who has earned a pat on the back.

My 25 year career with Marriott provided me with the knowledge and passion for the industry that I brought with me to Pineapple Hospitality. Being able to work in a creative environment without limits or boundaries allows us to live and speak Pineapple. Truly hospitality redefined! Pineapple Hospitality has brought my wife, two daughters and our 10 year old boxer to the PNW.

My thing

My hospitality career began many years ago with a desire to travel and see the world. I thought perhaps the cruise ship industry would be a great way to start. After getting motion sick on my first sailing, I opted to work on land taking reservations. This is where I was introduced to the world of hotels. After several years in the cruise industry, I felt ready to transition into hotels. I spent the next decade-plus working in several iconic Seattle hotels. In February of 2010, a colleague introduced me to Michelle Barnet. And after a very honest and candid 3-hour interview I was offered a job. I take great pride in being Pineapple Hospitality's "Employee Number One" and wearing many hats. In my current role as Director of Marketing, I have a hand in all things Pineapple, from brand design to advertising and social media campaigns. I love bringing to life and maintaining Michelle’s vision of maximizing unique Pineapple experiences for our guests. When I’m not dreaming of pineapples, I enjoy wine, spending time with my family, and traveling.

My thing

A Colorado native (Go Broncos!), and 14 year E-Commerce veteran, I came to Pineapple Hospitality after a few recent stops in the land of the OTAs. I bring a strong product management focus to the world of Pineapple and am deep in the process of updating and unifying all things digital. When not in the office you will most likely find me on the golf course desperately trying to maintain a single digit handicap, at the dog park with my wife and our Bernese Mountain Dog named Mulligan, or off on the occasional skiing adventure. Our annual family travel schedule mandates a minimum of one trip to Hawaii each year, a visit home to both Denver and Salt Lake, one visit to Disneyland to keep our kid-at-heart spirit alive, and exploration of a new international destination, if we still have any vacation time left.

My thing

A CRM specialist, I manage everything related to our customer data and communications at Staypineapple. My career started with 11 years at Wyndham Worldwide working in Finance, Customer Service and Corporate Sales and Marketing. After stints with Microsoft and a SaaS start-up, I am happy to land back in the travel and hospitality industry with Staypineapple! I grew up in Redmond, WA where I still reside today with my wife, Carrie, and twins: Cody and Kayla. Cody enjoys reminding his sister he is the "older" brother, by 51 minutes. Both kids enjoy most sports: basketball, soccer, running, biking, swimming and cell phone usage. My wife, kids and I all love to travel. In fact, the kids had frequent flyer plans by 2mo. old.
