SMALL SWAPS TO BIG STEPS: HOW WE’RE CELEBRATING EARTH DAY
Earth Day is kind of a big deal around here — and not just for one day. At Staypineapple, we’re all about making thoughtful choices that are good for you and the planet. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately.
First up: your in-room morning coffee. This month, we introduced Coulée Coffee Co. across our hotels. Their 100% compostable single-serve pour-over system delivers café-quality coffee without the plastic-heavy pods. A small switch, big impact (and a really good cup of coffee).
We’re also celebrating a milestone in the Windy City: Staypineapple Chicago officially earned Green Key Certification, recognizing our commitment to eco-friendly operations that reduce environmental impact. Even better? We’re working toward bringing that same certification to all of our hotels in the near future.
Behind the scenes, we’re making big moves too. We’re on track to power 90% of our portfolio with renewable energy by the end of 2026, and since introducing refillable PATH Water bottles in 2024, we’ve already helped divert over 900,000 single-use plastic bottles from landfills.
Not bad, right?
And we’re just getting started. Because at Staypineapple, it’s not just about where you stay — it’s about how you stay.
