OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST. 

PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.

Sponsor: The Contest Sponsor is Pineapple Hospitality Company, 10510 Northup Way Suite 350, Kirkland, WA 98033, United States.  

Eligibility: The Staypineapple ‘Where Stories Become Stays’ Contest (“Contest”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.  Employees, officers, and representatives of Pineapple Hospitality Company (“Sponsor”) and their parent or affiliate companies, suppliers as well as the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Participation in this Contest constitutes each Entrant’s (“Entrants”) full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. Agreement to Rules: By participating, Entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by the Official Rules, and Entrants represent and warrant that Entrants meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, Entrants agree to accept the decisions of Sponsor as final and binding as they relate to the content of this Contest.

Contest Period: The Contest continues throughout the calendar year of 2026 ending on 12/31/2026 at 11:59pm PT, with a new entry submission window and winner selection taking place every month (the “Monthly Contest Period” or “MONTHLY CONTEST PERIOD”). Each Monthly Contest Period begins at 12:00 AM Pacific Time (“PT”) on the first day of each month, and ends at 11:59 PM PT on the final day of each month.

How to enter: During each Monthly Contest Period, an eligible entrant may enter the Contest by completing all of the following steps:

  • Post an original in-feed post or Reel on their public Instagram account recounting their stay at a Staypineapple Hotel.
  • Tag @staypineapple within their post.
  • Send a Direct Message (DM) containing the word “STORY” to the @staypineapple Instagram account to confirm entry.

All steps must be completed during the applicable Monthly Contest Period to be eligible. Entrant’s Instagram account must be public at the time of entry and winner selection to be eligible.

Multiple entries are permitted. Each eligible, unique Instagram post or Reel submitted in accordance with these Official Rules will constitute one (1) entry. However, entrants may not resubmit the same story, caption, image, or video content more than once, whether within the same Monthly Contest Period or in any future Monthly Contest Period. Duplicate, repetitive, or substantially similar submissions may be disqualified at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

General Guidelines: All submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:

Entrant submissions must be suitable for general audiences and not be offensive, obscene, illegal, or violate the rights of others. Any statements, remarks, claims, or opinions contained or depicted in submissions must express Entrant’s honest views, opinions, findings, beliefs, and experiences.

Prize:  

  • Monthly Prize: One (1) Two-night (2) hotel accommodations at any Staypineapple Hotel to be issued at the end of each Monthly Contest Period, redeemable for 1-year from the certificate issuance date (“Redemption Period”).

Previous winners remain eligible to enter and win in subsequent Monthly Contest Periods, provided they comply with all Official Rules.

STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.

No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The prize is non-transferable. All prize-related expenses, including any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the Winner. Unless explicitly stated in the Official Rules, the Winner will be responsible for expenses including, but not limited to, spending money, meals, drinks, transport, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs associated with redeeming the two-night stay at a Staypineapple Hotel. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by the Winner is permitted. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

Odds of winning: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the applicable Monthly Contest Period.

Winner Selection and Notification:  Sponsor’s panel of judges will select one Monthly Contest Winner (“Winner”) based on uniqueness, creativity and quality of submission content. The Sponsor will notify each Winner from all eligible entries on or around the third business day of the month following the subsequent Monthly Contest Period.

Winners will be notified via email and must provide proof of age, identification, and eligibility. Sponsor shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within three (3) calendar days from the time the award notification was sent or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release if required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. Receipt by the Winners of the prizes offered in this Contest are conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY THE WINNERs (AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN THE WINNERS’ DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE MONTHLY CONTEST PERIOD, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

IF BY THE SIXTH (6TH) BUSINESS DAY OF THE MONTH FOLLOWING EACH MONTHLY CONTEST PERIOD ENTRANTS HAVE NOT RECEIVED COMMUNICATION REGARDING BEING A WINNER OF THE Contest, THEY WERE NOT SELECTED IN THE DRAWING AND ARE NOT THE WINNER OF THAT MONTHLY CONTEST PERIOD.

Rights Granted by You: By entering any content (e.g., photo, video, text, etc.), Entrants understand and agree that Sponsor, anyone acting on behalf of Sponsor and Sponsor’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, Entrants name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Contest, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice review, or consent.

Additional Terms & Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant who submits entries through automated means, bots, scripts, macros, or other technical manipulation, or who attempts to exceed reasonable participation through fraudulent or deceptive practices. Legitimate multiple entries submitted in accordance with these Official Rules are permitted. Any attempt by an Entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. 

Limitation of Liability: By entering, Entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Partner, and subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such Entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or his/her/their acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries.

Disputes: THIS Contest IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND WASHINGTON STATE, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Contest, Entrants agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resorting to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in the State of Washington having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs. Entrants further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

Requests must be received no later than sixteen (16) days following the conclusion of an individual Monthly Contest Period.
