Staypineapple Boston is in the South End — and the South End is the Right Neighborhood
Staypineapple Boston, A Delightful Hotel
The South End is one of Boston's most livable and walkable neighborhoods — Victorian brownstones, independent restaurants, art spaces, and genuine local character. Staypineapple Boston is right in the middle of it, and Trophy Room is right downstairs.
The Neighborhood
The South End stretches from Back Bay to Roxbury and has one of the highest concentrations of Victorian brick rowhouses in the country. A few things worth knowing about the neighborhood:
- Boston Center for the Arts: A genuine cultural hub with multiple performance spaces and galleries, just blocks from the hotel
- Southwest Corridor Park: A 4.7-mile linear park that runs through the South End connecting Back Bay to Jamaica Plain, popular with runners, cyclists, and dog walkers
- Back Bay: A 10-minute walk north gets you to the Boston Public Garden, Newbury Street, and Copley Square
- The restaurant scene: The South End has one of Boston's most respected dining neighborhoods, with a concentration of independent restaurants along Tremont and Washington Streets
Getting Around
Back Bay station is a 7-minute walk. From there the MBTA Orange and commuter rail lines connect you to the rest of the city. The Green Line at Arlington Station is about a 10-minute walk for Fenway and beyond.
Before You Head Out
Trophy Room is right downstairs, a neighborhood bar that actually feels like a neighborhood bar. Good for a pre-outing breakfast or a post-day drink. "Where everybody knows your name" isn't just a Boston saying — it's the vibe.
