Hotels near the Space Needle: The Maxwell has you covered
The Maxwell Hotel, A Staypineapple Hotel
The Maxwell Hotel sits right next to the Seattle Center campus — which means the Space Needle is roughly a 10-minute walk from our front door. If seeing Seattle's most iconic landmark is on your itinerary, you won't find a closer place to sleep.
About the Space Needle
Built for the 1962 World's Fair, the Space Needle stands 605 feet tall with an observation deck offering 360-degree views of downtown Seattle, the Puget Sound, and Mount Rainier on a clear day. Tickets can be purchased in advance at spaceneedle.com — worth doing on weekends and summer visits.
Getting There
From The Maxwell, it's about a 5-minute walk across the Seattle Center grounds. Skip the rideshare — by the time you request one, you could already be there. If you want to see the Space Needle without even stepping outside, ask about our rooms with a Space Needle view.
While You're Here
The Seattle Center campus has plenty to keep you busy before or after your visit — Chihuly Garden and Glass, MoPOP, and McCaw Hall are all within the same walkable footprint. Pineapple Bistro & Bar is downstairs at The Maxwell for a meal before you head out or a drink when you get back.
