Explore Hudson Yards — a 10-Minute Walk from Midtown
Staypineapple New York, An Artful Hotel
Staypineapple New York is a 10-minute walk from Hudson Yards, Manhattan's newest neighborhood and one of the most architecturally ambitious developments in the city's recent history. Worth a half-day at minimum.
What's at Hudson Yards
Hudson Yards occupies the far west side of Midtown between 30th and 34th Streets, with a mix of public spaces, cultural venues, dining, and high-end shopping all within the same walkable footprint:
- The High Line: The elevated park built on a former freight rail line runs right into Hudson Yards from the south. One of the best free things to do in New York, especially in warmer months.
- The Shed: A genuinely interesting flexible arts center hosting music, theater, visual art, and performance. Check theshed.org for what's on during your visit.
- The Edge: An outdoor observation deck on the 100th floor with views of Midtown, downtown, and across the Hudson into New Jersey. Worth booking in advance.
Shops at Hudson Yards: A large indoor mall anchored by Neiman Marcus and a mix of flagship and independent retailers if shopping is on the agenda.
Getting There
Ten minutes on foot from Staypineapple New York heading west through Midtown, or take the 7 train from Times Square-42nd Street Station to 34th Street-Hudson Yards if you'd rather ride.
