Explore the Freedom Trail from Boston's South End
Staypineapple Boston, A Delightful Hotel
Staypineapple Boston sits in the South End, about 15 minutes from the Freedom Trail on the MBTA Green Line — or a walkable distance if you're up for it. Either way, Boston's most historic neighborhood is an easy outing from the hotel.
About the Freedom Trail
The Freedom Trail is a 2.5-mile walking path through the heart of Boston, connecting 16 historic sites from the colonial and revolutionary era. Start at the Boston Common Visitor Information Center, where you can pick up maps and trail guides before you set off.
Highlights along the route include the Massachusetts State House, Granary Burying Ground, King's Chapel, Paul Revere's House, and the USS Constitution at the Charlestown Navy Yard. Most people walk the full trail in 2–3 hours, though it's easy to break it into sections across multiple days.
Getting There
From Staypineapple Boston, take the MBTA Orange Line from Back Bay Station to Haymarket — about 5 minutes. From there you're right at the Boston Common end of the trail. If the weather's good, it's also a pleasant walk through the South End into downtown.
When You're Back
Trophy Room is right downstairs, a great spot for a drink and a recap of the day before you head up.
